Mr. Briggs graduated from the University of Manitoba with a B.A. and M.A. (International Relations). He was the recipient of the J.W. Dafoe scholarship for studies in International Relations.
 
In 1981, he joined the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade and served abroad at CanadaIs Permanent Mission to the United Nations, in the Kingdom of Thailand, studied Mandarin Chinese in Taiwan, worked at the Canadian Embassy in the PeopleIs Republic of China, and concluded his distinguished diplomatic career in the Republic of Korea. He also served as President of the Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers. In addition to Mandarin Chinese, he also speaks French.
 
In 1996, Mr. Briggs joined the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada as the Vice-President responsible for the Canadian Education Centre Network project and in 1997 became the first President of the newly-formed non-profit company, the Canadian Education Centre Network. In this capacity he was responsible for building the network from three centres in the Asia-Pacific region into an entity with a presence in 17 countries spanning the globe.
 

He also oversaw the establishment of the CEC Networks subsidiary CECN Global Schools Ltd. and conceived the Maple Bear education system. In March, 2007 he resigned as President of the CEC Network and purchased CECN Global Schools Ltd from the CEC Network.

Mr. Macleod holds both a B.A. and B.Ed from the University of Saskatchewan, a Masters degree from Carleton University in Ottawa, and a Masters of Education (second language and immersion specialization) from the University of Manitoba. In addition he holds a Diplôme d’études françaises from the Université de Poitiers, and a Diplôme d’études internationales et du développement from the Université de Toulouse, France. He has received numerous academic awards, including the Government of France scholarship for Graduate Study in France.

His education credentials are extensive, beginning as a teacher in Montreal, Saskatoon and Winnipeg; as Vice-Principal and Principal at all levels of the Winnipeg school system and as a university professor of Education Administration at the Collège universitaire de Saint Boniface, Manitoba.

Manitoba, and as a consultant in international education globally. He frequently presents on international education topics to teachers, principals and school boards.

Since 2007, he has been Vice-President and part owner of Maple Bear Global Schools Ltd. and has been responsible for the development and implementation of Maple Bear educational programs and teacher training worldwide.

Mr. Alok Modi is a young technocrat and entrepreneur.  Passed with distinction, he is First Class B.E. (Industrial & Production) from Mangalore University after being a student of Modern School, New Delhi.  Mr. Modi belongs to one of the industrial groups in India – Modi Group of Companies.  He is directly responsible for the Group’s Float Glass, Travel Franchise and Tours & Travel business.
 
In April 2011 Maple Bear in India entered into a joint venture with Modi Edutech. The promoters of Modi Edutech and Maple Bear form part of a leading Modi Group in India with Mr. Alok Modi as the Chairman of Maple Bear in India and the region.
 
Apart from this, he has been involved in setting up schools in the rural areas of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh, imparting education to nearly 7000 students from KG up to Intermediate level and has plans for their expansion and modernization.
 
Presently Mr. Modi holds following positions as well.

Mr. Alok Modi is also the Chairman of the All India Flat Glass Manufacturers Association. Director of All India Glass Manufacturers’ Federation and President of Governing Council of Confederation of Construction Product and Services.

 
Ms. Hazel Siromoni, Managing Director Maple Bear India and Region
 
Having Masters in Clinical Psychology Ms Hazel Siromoni has over two decades of work experience in education sector. Out of these 23 years she has spent 17 years in the space of Canadian education.
 
Prior to Canadian Education Centre Network India she worked in an NGO working in the area of gender sensitization where in developing a diploma program in Women’s studies via long distance, editing a women’s magazine, conducing training and managing women’s development centres in Indian colleges and universities.
 
She began her career as a counselor at Canadian Education centre in India which was set up by Government of Canada with the mandate to promote and market Canadian Education Internationally. She has extensively travelled in Canada visiting various Canadian institutions at all levels from secondary schools, colleges to world ranked Universities engaging them to be actively involved in India. She became the Director of CEC India in 2000.
 
From CEC India went on to become the Director of Maple Bear India in 2009 and became the Managing Director under the Joint Venture between Maple Bear Global Schools Ltd and Modi Edutech in 2011.
 
Very recently in February 2014 Canadian Government recognized Ms. Hazel Siromoni contribution to building the India Canada relations especially her contribution in promotion of Canadian education in India. This prestigious award comprising of a medallion and certificate was handed by the Governor General of Canada His Excellency Mr. David Johnston in the presence of the High Commissioner Mr. Stewart Beck.
 
She is also currently serving on the board of Indo Canadian Business Chamber and YWCA of Delhi.
